Abstract:This report describes the case of a complete second branchial fistula thatpresented as a persistent discharging sinus in the lower neck associated with painand swelling in the neck and throat, in a 19-year-old girl. Diagnostic-imagingmodalities to aid in diagnosis and treatment plan are discussed. The surgicaltechnique of removing the fistula through a vertical incision anterior to thesternocleidomastoid muscle and an upward dissection is described along with adiscussion on other surgical methods.
