Unicystic ameloblastoma of the mandible: a rare lesion revisited. Case report of an unusually large lesion

JS Badwal, R Modi, S Garg: Unicystic ameloblastoma of the mandible: a rare lesion revisited. Case report of an unusually large lesion. Mal. J. Oral Maxillofac. Surg. 2015; 13: 28–30.

Abstract: The unicystic ameloblastoma is a rarely encountered variant of the ameloblastoma. This article presents the case of a 20 years old female patient who presented with unicystic ameloblastoma of the mandible. Considering the patient’s age, conservative treatment was preferred as per literature guidelines. Complete enucleation of the lesion was done followed by chemical cauterization with carnoy’s solution. Histopathological examination remains one of the most important tools in the diagnosis of this lesion.
